Ashley Judd grew up dirt poor in Kentucky and is the daughter and sister of country music stars Naomi and Wynonna Judd respectively. Widely known in Hollywood as being extremely intelligent, Ashley has carefully managed her career to become a critics darling. Appearing in movies such as Heat, Smoke, Natural Born Killers, Double Jeopardy, Eye of the Beholder, Simon Birch, and Kiss the Girls, Ashley Judd has established herself as one of the best known and loved actresses making movies.
More recent, Ashley Judd played the lead role of a police officer and daughter of a serial killer in Philip Kaufman's thriller Twisted (with Samuel L. Jackson and Andy Garcia) and became the wife of legendary American composer Cole Porter (Kevin Kline) in Academy Award winning director Irwin Winkler's musical biopic De-Lovely. Soon, Judd will star in writer-director Joey Lauren Adams' upcoming romantic drama Come Early Morning and in William Friedkin's thriller, adopted from Tracy Letts' play, Bug (with Lynn Collins and Harry Connick Jr.).
